Later some elections of German Kings were hold here from the 14th to the 16th century. Then Frankfurt was the most important place for the elections and the Königstuhl ruined more and more. From 1841 - 1843 the Königstuhl was rebuilt by architect "Johann Claudius von Lassaulx".
